In collaboration with Dr. Laura Armas (MPI) of CAN Community Health, Dr. Nicole Ennis and the iRACE team successfully competed for a grant from the National Library of Medicine’s HIV/AIDS Community Information Outreach Program (ACIOP), which awards funding to community organizations to design and conduct local projects that will improve HIV/AIDS information access. The project, entitled “CAN You See Me? #HIVINFO: A Multifaceted Approach of NIH/NLM Resources Dissemination,” will disseminate information and resources on HIV/AIDS from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) using traditional print materials, via online dating platforms, “Virtual Outreach,” telehealth, face-to-face outreach, and through social media engagement. Disseminating information on HIV/AIDS through a variety of methods enables the greatest number of individuals will be reached and educated on this health issue.
