iRACE Lab Welcomes New Bridge Student

The iRACE Lab is excited to welcome Alyssa Flores, a student in the Bridge to Clinical Medicine Program in the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
The Bridge to Clinical Medicine is a major that prepares students for the rigors of medical school. Students in this program gain invaluable clinical and research experience alongside their academic curriculum.
Alyssa obtained her undergraduate degree at Florida International University where she majored in Biology. She hopes to have a private practice in Miami as a Pediatrician where she can use her Hispanic heritage and love of the Spanish language to better connect with the large Hispanic demographic of her city. Her hobbies include reading and drafting her first fiction novel. She is excited to contribute to studying the adverse events associated with cannabis use across the life span to provide a better picture of how the healthcare community can mitigate those effects when offering medical marijuana as treatment to a wide range of patients.
