Grace Hanvey has joined the iRACE lab as a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida. Grace received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 2018, with an emphasis in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience. In her undergraduate research,Grace assisted in implementing community-based participatory interventions to mitigate obesity-related health disparities among racial and ethnic minorities, and low-income individuals. Her present research investigates how socioeconomic status and associated factors inform inequalities in access to health care. Grace’s general research objectives seek to navigate the intersection between health care and social justice, and to increase health equity among marginalized populations. Grace is very excited to be a part of the iRACE team!
