The Gainesville Pride Festival will be held Saturday, October 22nd in Downtown Gainesville’s Bo Diddley Plaza and on the surrounding streets. The Festival, which is co-sponsored by the City of Gainesville Department of Cultural Affairs, will have dozens of local musical acts and over one hundred booths run by local organizations. The Southern HIV and Alcohol Research Consortium (SHARC) will be proudly represented among other educational organizations. Preceding the Festival is the Annual Pride Parade which begins at 12:00pm and will take place on 7th St and W University Ave and proceeds east on University Ave to S 1st St. Come check out the SHARC booth and enjoy a day out in the sun this Saturday!
