For the past four years we have watched the exponential growth of the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR). The Florida Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) has been publishing statistics on medical cannabis sales in Florida. What began in June of 2017 as the Compassionate Use Registry with 16,760 patients and only 819 authorized ordering physicians and 18 licensed dispensaries has seen significant growth. By the end of 2020 the MMUR had grown to 459,171 MMUR patients and 2,733 physicians, and 302 licensed dispensaries. As of September 20, 2021, the MMUR has 612,623 patients, 2,726 authorized ordering physicians, and 372 licensed dispensaries.
